Its legendary mountains and landscape, that defy imagination, culminate into a masterpiece of the Creator. Cradled within the majestic mountains of the Great Himalayas, experience the splendour of the fabled Eastern Himalayan State of Sikkim.
Day 1 :
Arrive Bagdogra / New Jalpaiguri * On to Pemayangtse /Pelling (120 kms / approx. 5 hour drive)
Welcome to Bagdogra / New Jalpaiguri. On arrival at Bagdogra airport or New Jalpaiguri railway station, begin your tour of ‘Sikkim Delight’.
You will be transferred to Pemayangtse where on arrival you will check into your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 2 :
In Pemayangtse / Pelling
Today proceed on a half day sightseeing tour of Pemayangtse visiting Rimbi Falls,Kanchenjunga Falls and Khecheopalri – the wishing lake.
Rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 3 :
On to Gangtok (124 kms / approx. 5 hour drive)
Today, proceed on a picturesque drive to Gangtok.
En route, visit Ravangla – a small township in southern Sikkim. On arrival into Gangtok, check into your hotel. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure.
Day 4 :
In Gangtok * Excursion to Tshangu Lake (45 kms / approx. 3 hour drive)
Early in the morning, depart for a half-day excursion to Tshangu Lake. Enjoy a yak ride around the lake (on direct payment basis).
Day 5 :
On to Lachung (115 kms / approx. 6 hour drive)
Today you will drive to Lachung. En route enjoy a stopover at Tashi View Point, which offers a panoramic view of the mountains.
On arrival at Lachung, you will check into your hotel
Day 6 :
In Lachung * Excursion to Yumthang Valley (25 kms / approx. 1 hour drive)
Early in the morning, proceed on an excursion to Yumthang Valley located at an altitude of 12000 feet.
En route visit the Hot Springs and Singba Rhododendron Sanctuary. Return to Lachung.
Day 7 :
On to Gangtok (115 kms / approx. 6 hour drive)
This morning, return to Gangtok, on arrival you will check in to your hotel.
Rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 8 :
In Gangtok
This morning enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour visiting Rumtek Monastery, Droul Chorthen, Research Institute of Tibetology, Directorate of Handicraft and Handloom and the Enchey Monastery
Day 9 :
On to Bagdogra / New Jalpaiguri (127 kms / approx. 5 hour drive)
Return home with happy memories, Today bid farewell to your ‘Sikkim Delight’ tour, as you are transferred to Bagdogra airport / New Jalpaiguri railway station for your onward journey.
